Recently visited Brew Gastropub at the Bellgrade Shopping Center for a quick bite and a good beer.
Lickinghole Creek – Pony Pasture – Classic Bohemian Pilsner. This pilsner was a great choice for a hot and humid summer afternoon on the patio. Slightly spicy, a little bitter, strong yeasty notes, beautiful golden pour. Paired nicely with the wrap pictured below.
Asian Chicken Wrap with Mixed Greens – Chicken, rice, cucumber and Kimchi slaw
As always, Brew offers an extensive beer selection. Lots to choose from in both crafts in general and a decent selection of local crafts. The focus of this gastropub is most definitely on the beers, the food menu is eclectic and usually has something for everyone. Bartenders are well reversed, however servers are often struck with a ‘deer in the headlights’ expression when asked about beer recommendations.
All in all, Brew at Bellgrade Shopping Center is a good choice for a quick bite, a good beer selection and a nice patio.
