Porter Braised Cabbage

A perfect compliment to any dinner, especially an Irish Sunday Supper! Happy St. Patrick’s day!

2 medium heads of Cabbage
1 large Vidalia Onion
2 tsp Sugar
4 oz Porter
4 oz Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2 cup Chicken / Veggie Broth
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Butter

Add thinly sliced onions, oil and butter to large pan or Dutch oven. Caramelize the onions, then add cabbage.

Put into a 350 degree oven, cook until tender.

Salt and Pepper to taste.
